❓ Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and why is it important after surgery?
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle massage technique that encourages natural lymph flow to reduce swelling, inflammation, and bruising. It helps prevent fluid buildup and fibrosis, making it a key part of post-operative healing.
2. What does Shockwave Therapy do in post-op recovery?
Acoustic Shockwave Therapy uses sound waves to break up hardened tissue, reduce scar formation, and stimulate healing. When combined with MLD, it enhances circulation, improves skin texture, and speeds up recovery—especially after liposuction, BBLs, and abdominoplasty.
3. When should I start post-op recovery sessions?
You can typically begin treatment 48–72 hours after surgery (with your surgeon’s approval). Early sessions help minimize swelling and discomfort and reduce the risk of complications like fibrosis.
4. How often should I come in for treatment?
This depends on your procedure, but most clients benefit from 2–3 sessions per week initially. We offer 3, 6, and 10-session packages tailored to your surgery type and recovery timeline.
5. What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
We require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or reschedules. Missed appointments or changes made within 48 hours will incur a $45 fee. All packages must be used within 14 days unless otherwise arranged.
6. Do you accept insurance or offer payment plans?
At this time, we do not accept insurance. However, we accept all major credit cards and offer flexible package pricing for cost savings.
7. Can I book a Shockwave Therapy session by itself?
Shockwave is offered as an add-on only to our recovery services and cannot be booked as a stand-alone session.
